eTorque MGU Shipping Instructions

Follow the steps below to safely package and ship your eTorque MGU to CalTeK Power Systems for professional rebuild service.

1. Prepare Your MGU for Shipping

  • Make sure the MGU is completely removed from the vehicle.

  • Drain or clean away any excessive fluid, oil, or loose debris.

  • Remove any loose accessories or hardware that are not required for the rebuild.

  • Do not disassemble the MGU before shipping unless instructed by CalTeK Power Systems.

  • Take a few photos of the MGU before packaging it for your records.

2. Protect & Package Your MGU

  • Place the MGU inside a heavy-duty plastic bag to help contain residue and protect it from moisture.

  • Wrap the entire MGU securely with multiple layers of heavy-duty bubble wrap or protective foam.

  • Place the wrapped MGU in a strong, properly sized corrugated shipping box.

  • Fill all empty space with protective packing material so the MGU cannot move inside the box.

  • Pay special attention to protecting the electrical connectors and other exposed components.

  • Securely tape all seams of the box with heavy-duty packing tape.

3. Include Your Information

  • Customer or business name

  • Best phone number

  • Email address

  • Return shipping address

  • Vehicle year, make, and model

  • MGU part number, if available

  • Brief description of the problem or symptoms

  • Quote or reference number, if one has already been provided

Please place this information inside the package in a sealed plastic bag or envelope.

4. Ship Your MGU to CalTeK Power Systems

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing adequate shipping insurance for your MGU. Please retain your tracking number until your unit has been received by CalTeK Power Systems.

5. What Happens After We Receive Your MGU

  • We document the condition of the package and MGU upon arrival.

  • Your MGU is checked in and assigned to your customer file.

  • A technician performs an inspection and diagnosis.

  • You receive the diagnosis and repair quote before any repairs are performed.

  • A technician will contact you to review the findings and answer any questions.

  • No repair work begins until you approve the quote.

  • After the rebuild is completed and tested, we arrange return shipping and provide tracking information.
