How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you experience a problem that you believe may be related to your CalTeK Power Systems rebuild, contact us before removing, opening, disassembling, or attempting repairs to the MGU.
Please provide your name, original repair or invoice information, vehicle information, a description of the problem, and any available diagnostic trouble codes.
CalTeK Power Systems may request additional diagnostic information, photographs, or return of the MGU for inspection. Warranty coverage will be determined after the unit has been inspected and the cause of failure has been verified.
Warranty Shipping
Customers are responsible for shipping the MGU to CalTeK Power Systems for warranty inspection. If the failure is determined to be covered under the 2-Year Limited Warranty, CalTeK Power Systems will cover standard return shipping of the repaired MGU to the customer within the continental United States.
If inspection determines that the issue is not covered under warranty, the customer will be responsible for any applicable diagnostic, repair, and return shipping costs. No non-warranty repairs will be performed without customer approval.
Service & Pricing Policies
Our goal is to keep the rebuild process straightforward and transparent. The following policies explain pricing, additional repairs, customer authorization, shipping, and other terms associated with CalTeK Power Systems rebuild services.
Rebuild Pricing & Additional Repairs
Standard eTorque MGU rebuild service starts at $799. The starting price covers the standard rebuild services described on our website.
If inspection identifies additional damaged components, excessive damage, or repairs outside the standard rebuild service, those items will be quoted separately.
No additional repair work will be performed without customer approval. Customers will be informed of any additional recommended repairs and associated costs before that work begins.
Customer Authorization & Declined Repairs
CalTeK Power Systems will not perform additional repairs or install additional replacement components beyond the approved rebuild service without customer authorization.
If additional repairs are recommended, the customer will receive the findings and associated costs before the additional work is performed.
If the customer chooses not to proceed with the recommended repair after inspection, the MGU may be returned to the customer in its current condition. The customer is responsible for applicable return shipping costs and any previously disclosed inspection or diagnostic charges, if applicable.

Shipping Policy
Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping their MGU to CalTeK Power Systems.
Return shipping costs are not included in the advertised rebuild price and will be provided as part of the final repair total before the rebuilt MGU is returned.
Customers are responsible for properly packaging the MGU for shipment. CalTeK Power Systems is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging or damage that occurs while the unit is in transit to our facility.
Return shipments will be packaged by CalTeK Power Systems and shipped using a trackable service. Tracking information will be provided once the rebuilt MGU has been shipped.
Unclaimed Units & Storage
Customers are responsible for responding to repair approvals, payment requests, and return-shipping communications in a timely manner.
MGUs left unclaimed for more than 30 days after completion of service, a declined repair, or notification that the unit is ready for return may be subject to reasonable storage fees.
Units remaining unclaimed for an extended period may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with applicable law. CalTeK Power Systems will make reasonable attempts to contact the customer before taking further action.
Payment Policy
Payment is required before the rebuilt MGU is returned to the customer unless other arrangements have been approved in writing by CalTeK Power Systems.
The final balance may include the approved rebuild service, authorized additional repairs or replacement components, applicable taxes, and return shipping charges.
Completed units will not be shipped until the applicable balance has been paid in full.
Cancellations & Refunds
Customers may cancel a rebuild request before repair work begins. Once rebuild work, parts installation, or other authorized repairs have begun, amounts charged for completed labor, installed components, and other work already performed are non-refundable.
If a customer declines service after the MGU has been received and inspected, the customer remains responsible for applicable return shipping and any previously disclosed inspection or diagnostic charges.
Refunds for approved cancellations or billing adjustments will be issued to the original payment method when possible.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CalTeK Power Systems is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from an MGU failure, rebuild service, or the removal or installation of an MGU, including loss of vehicle use, towing expenses, rental vehicle costs, lost income, or other related expenses.
CalTeK Power Systems' responsibility for an approved warranty claim is limited to the remedies provided under the applicable 2-Year Limited Warranty. Nothing in these policies is intended to limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.
